Beeswax is defined as follows: “Beeswax is a bee product secreted by worker bees aged 13–18 days from wax glands located on the underside of their abdominal segments, and its raw material is honey.” This substance is used by bees to construct the main structure of the honeycomb. When consuming comb honey, beeswax is naturally ingested along with other components.

Pure beeswax is also used in various fields such as textiles, paints, health, cosmetics, and the food industry due to its functional properties.

From a religious perspective, consuming pure beeswax is permissible, provided that it is consumed in amounts that are not harmful to human health.
