During swimming, there is a high likelihood that water may enter the throat. It is not the act of swimming that breaks the fast, but rather the swallowing of water.
If the swimming lesson is compulsory, solutions such as requesting exemption during Ramadan should be considered. If this is not possible, alternatives like attending only the theoretical part, avoiding entering the water, or at least avoiding situations where water might be swallowed should be explored.
In fact, many schools take religious sensitivities into account and offer alternatives, so it is important to be persistent in this regard. However, if the child still enters the pool and accidentally swallows water, the fast should be made up with one day after Ramadan.
