If the food itself is lawful (ḥalāl), the fact that the place where it is consumed also serves alcohol does not render the food unlawful, nor does it make the person who eats it sinful. If alternative establishments are available, eating at such places is preferable. However, if no alternatives exist, or if reaching them would involve undue hardship due to distance or other difficulty, it is permissible to consume lawful products at the available restaurants.
