The headscarf is a religious obligation in Islam for women, as commanded by Allah. The purpose of the headscarf, as mentioned in the Qur’an, is not just to avoid harm, but to fulfill the divine command. While the wisdom behind wearing the headscarf includes the idea of not being harmed, it is not the primary reason for its obligation. Wearing the headscarf is considered a compulsory act of worship in Islam and holds its validity in all circumstances.
Although some Muslim women in Europe may face discrimination or attacks because of their headscarf, this situation is not a universal rule. Islamic obligations should be followed as per Allah’s commands, and Muslims should adhere to them despite challenges. Therefore, removing the headscarf to avoid difficulties is not permissible.
